Design & Construction

Today more and more people are incorporating leisure facilities within the home. These are not limited to swimming pools or spas, but include sauna, steam, massage rooms, gymnasiums and cinemas are growing in popularity. Design is essential to ensure that bespoke installations integrate efficiently into the operation of the house.

To achieve this it is becoming a normal requirement that we are involved at the very early planning stages as part of the initial design team which can include the :-

Specialist Pools/Hydrotherapy

There are many considerations that have to be taken into account when designing specialist pools. Hydrotherapy pools play a very important part in improving the quality of life for many people but even more so for children with special needs.

Moving Floors

Both indoor or outdoor swimming pools can take up a large amount of space which is potentially only in use for a couple of hours per day. Moving pool floors enable the pool area to be converted into useable floor space in the event of parties, dance floors, conferences or just an area for children to play safely. The ability to regulate the depth of the pool water enables the pool to grow in depth as the children grow in size and ability.

For these reasons, swimming pools with moving floors are becoming more and more popular.

Pool Design Services

Jetform can provide a specialist design service to assist in the more complex projects. This would include design/coordination meetings culminating with the issue of performance specifications, pool, plant and environmental control system drawings. These documents could then be used to go out to tender and will ensure all tendering swimming pool companies are pricing for an identical scheme, enabling easy cost comparisons. Our hope is that the client will want to keep Jetforms’ involvement and that we will successfully secure the contract to build the swimming pool. This brings considerable benefits because we have an in depth knowledge of the whole project from the beginning and any possible implications of later design changes as the project progresses.

SPATA (Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association)

By choosing Jetform as your swimming pool contractor, we are full installer members of SPATA. As a result, you can be confident you are dealing with a company which has been fully vetted by the Trade Association and works to the highest possible construction standards.

The benefits of using a SPATA pool builder are numerous. First and foremost, you rest assured that we are working to exacting standards, using the latest techniques, and complying with current government legislation and building standards. Your installation will be covered by the SPATASHIELD Bond and Warranty Scheme.

SPATASHIELD Bond and Warranty Scheme

Recent Government research reveals that one of consumers‘ main worries in employing builders is whether they have financial protection in the event of things going wrong. SPATA pool builders are covered by a Bond and Warranty scheme to protect your new pool or spa against the unexpected: At no additional cost to yourselves!

The Bond will pay the additional cost of completing a contract left unfinished in the event of Jetform becoming insolvent, up to a limit as identified on the Bond Certificate. The Warranty will provide cover for claims up to £20,000 within three years of completion of the swimming pool or spa if the installation does not conform to SPATA Standards.

Pool & Spa Care Schemes

We offer a selection of schemes so our clients have the choice of how they wish to ensure their pool always looks its very best.

Four Star Schemes ****

The four star scheme offers the convenience of visits every two weeks with the cost of all chemicals included. As a Four Star client we include the annual service of your pool equipment but any materials used will be charged extra at RRP. For outdoor pools, there is an optional winter supplement which would bring an engineer once a month in the winter to ensure the pool water is kept in tip top condition and ready just to turn the heating on in Spring.

Two Star Scheme **

The two Star scheme brings our engineer twice a year to service your pool equipment at a special price. We can also Open or Close the pool for you at this same time if required.

Breakdown / Repairs / Upgardes

You may however, want your pool plant changed or upgraded. We can advise and provide competitive quotations to replace equipment that is getting tired or beyond its useful life. A well equiped swimming pool benefitting from the most up to date equipment will provide the perfect water quality so that you do enjoy your pool on those hot sunny days. Gas Safe Register (formally CORGI)

We employ fully tained and qualified gas engineers to service and repair existing installations or to fit new gas heating systems for your pool.

Microbiological testing

Microbiological problems should not occur in a well designed and operated swimming pool or spa with an adequate disinfectant residual, correct pH and properly timed backwashing of filters.  Nevertheless, in commercial installations, samples of pool water should be tested at appropriate intervals to ensure that all is well.

Health & Safety Training

The manager or pool operator is responsible under the Health and Safety at Work, etc Act 1974 for ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of employees at work and others who may be affected by the undertaking.  This includes protecting the public who use the swimming pool.

Jetform can carry out training sessions for any people directly involved with your facility and carry out on site training tailored specifically to your pool and equipment.

A spa is the perfect year round way place to unwind and relax with family and friends whilst offering many Health benefits at the same time. 

Since 1992, Jetform has been involved in the design and installation of numerous spas and have incorporated them in to many of our new build swimming pool projects.  We also supply portable / free standing models which have increased dramatically in popularity for both outdoor and summerhouse installations in recent years.

Prices start from £3000 inc VAT, so they are no longer the ‘Luxury item’ which people cannot afford.  Spas also offer an ideal distraction free zone creating time to reconnect with the kids and refocus on the family.

Purchase price is very important, but so to is quality which ultimately effects maintenance and running costs.  We do not sell ‘cheap’ imports which have no support or backup.

Thermal Experiences

It is a well know fact that heat in all its forms stimulates the body and enhances the sensation of mental and physical wellbeing. Jetform can design and install a bespoke thermal experience for both commercial and private clients. Alternatively, we can supply freestanding portable units.

Our range of expertise includes:-

From your initial enquiry we will work with you or the architect to design the best thermal experience in the space available.

Traditional Sauna

Dating back over 2000 years, Finns used this dry heat bath to cleanse the mind, rejuvenate and refresh the spirit.
Best enjoyed at temperatures of 75 - 90’C in a relative humidity of 20 - 35%. Now and then you sprinkle a ladle of water over the hot sauna stones and feel the unique tingling sensation as a wave of heat penetrates deep into your skin.

Manufactured from traditional wood, such as aspen, alder and spruce.

 

Infra Red Sauna

This form of sauna is based on infrared radiation and has little in common with traditional sauna. The equipment emits IR-B and IR-C radiation which penetrates deep into your body.

HAMMAM (Steam Room)

Arabic word meaning “spreader of warmth.” The medical benefits of the Hammam date back to 200BC. The traditional steam experience allows the body to absorb heat which stimulates the immune system by increasing the production of antibodies and results in a total wellbeing experience. Benefits include pain relief, muscle and joint relaxation, respiratory benefits, detoxification, improved circulation and metabolism, and a more refined skin texture.
Steam rooms are very different experiences to saunas and require specially designed rooms finished in glass, plastic, stone or tiles. Humidity levels are maintained at a constant 100%. However, the temperature does not rise above 40 - 45’C, so you can enjoy the experience for as long as you like.

You can further enhance your steam room experience with optional LED or fibre optic lighting, music systems or aromatic essence injection.

Drench Showers

To cleanse the body and mind after a heat treatment, why not stand under a deluge of ice cold water

Heated Loungers

Heated loungers are increasing in popularity, as a means of relaxing or as a pre-treatment to massage. The loungers are heated either by electric element or hot water beneath the tiled finishes.

Ice Stations

Designed to deliver a chute of flaked ice into a bowl or pedestal. This ice is rubbed on to cool the skin between heat treatments.

Your very own Spa or Hot Tub provides the perfect way to end a hectic day. Thousands of tiny air bubbles massaging and relaxing your body and mind, reducing tension and increasing blood circulation.
